Some of the things that tip me off that this is not our ball are the elephant and kangaroo colors. Also, there is considerably more white space on you ball whereas ours has more designs. So, just for fun, I visited our samples department hoping to find this ball and I was able to find and inflate a sample of our ball.

Infrastructure decisions - which ones are mistakes?

We, like most companies, host our code on GitHub. While originally using CircleCI, we’ve switched to Github actions for CI/CD. The marketplace of actions available to use for your workflows is large and the syntax is easy to read. The main downside of Github actions is their support for self-hosted workflows is very limited.

By far the most requested Wingspan product (other than the Nesting Box and new expansions) over the last few years have been vision-friendly cards. At first they were just individual requests, and when I received enough of them, I posted a poll asking if packs of vision-friendly cards were legitimately something people would pay for if we made them. The answer was a resounding yes.

I recommend a three-pronged approach to hiring people:
  1. Make the workplace attractive,
  2. Eliminate obstacles, and
  3. Provide benefits which are more valuable than the money they cost.

Massachusetts lawyers are busy attending seminars and reading up on the LLC form of business.  In the short term this means it probably will cost more in legal fees because we haven’t developed our legal boilerplate documents and there are no cases interpreting ambiguities in the statute.  Investors and banks may be reluctant to invest or lend to LLCs until they understand the implications of the LLC for them.
