The 2026 Global Intelligence Crisis

For AI to produce a sustained negative demand shock, the economy must see a material acceleration in adoption, experience near-total labor substitution, no fiscal response, negligible investment absorption, and unconstrained scaling of compute. It is also worth recalling that over the past century, successive waves of technological change have not produced runaway exponential growth, nor have they rendered labor obsolete.

Obsidian CLI is a command line interface that lets you control Obsidian from your terminal for scripting, automation, and integration with external tools.

Comments on: BuildKit: Docker's Hidden Gem That Can Build Almost Anything

It looks and sounds incredibly powerful on paper. But the reality is drastically different. It's a big glob of homegrown thoughts and ideas. Some of them are really slick, like build deduplication. Others are clever and hard to reason about, or in the worst case, terrifying to touch.

Nobody Gets Promoted for Simplicity

But for Engineer A’s work, there’s almost nothing to say. “Implemented feature X.” Three words. Her work was better. But it’s invisible because of how simple she made it look. You can’t write a compelling narrative about the thing you didn’t build.

What Claude Code Actually Chooses

OpenAI announced plans to acquire Astral — makers of Ruff and uv — on March 19, 2026. Ruff and uv are already the default Python toolchain. The question is whether OpenAI's own agent recommends them at different rates than Anthropic's. We ran 630 benchmarks across 7 Python tooling categories to find out.

The Hunt for Dark Breakfast

We do not know why the Dark Breakfast Abyss is empty. But by anthropic reasoning, we should conclude that it is empty for good reason. The International House of Pancakes is playing a dangerous game. If someday a remote IHOP splashes a little too much batter in their omelette, cooks the Forbidden Breakfast, and thereby brings about the end of the world, well, at least we know the Waffle House will be open.

Airbus Beluga

In February 2003, a single Beluga performed the farthest distance charter flight ever, having flown for 25 hours (not including refuelling stops) to transport two complete NHI NH90 helicopters along with a single Eurocopter Tiger attack helicopter from Marseille, France, to Melbourne, Australia, for the Avalon Airshow.

Rob Pike's 5 Rules of Programming

Rule 2. Measure. Don't tune for speed until you've measured, and even then don't unless one part of the code overwhelms the rest.

Smoot

One smoot is equal to Oliver Smoot's height at the time of the pledge, 5 feet 7 inches (1.7018 m). The bridge's length was measured to be 364.4 smoots.

Glassworm Returns: Invisible Unicode Malware Found in 150+ GitHub Repositories

The backtick string passed to s() looks empty in every viewer, but it's packed with invisible characters that, once decoded, produce a full malicious payload. In past incidents, that decoded payload fetched and executed a second-stage script using Solana as a delivery channel, capable of stealing tokens, credentials, and secrets.

US Job Market Visualizer

This is a research tool that visualizes 342 occupations from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, covering 143M jobs across the US economy. Each rectangle's area is proportional to total employment. Color shows the selected metric — toggle between BLS projected growth outlook, median pay, education requirements, and AI exposure.

Claude Code skills that build complete Godot 4 projects from a game description · GitHub

An AI pipeline designs the architecture, generates the art, writes every line of code, captures screenshots from the running engine, and fixes what doesn't look right. The output is a real Godot 4 project with organized scenes, readable scripts, and proper game architecture. Handles 2D and 3D, runs on commodity hardware.

Delve - Fake Compliance as a Service - Part I

So what do you do when those pesky enterprises send a questionnaire? You just drop it into the Delve Questionnaire AI. Easy enough! For us, it ended up answering around 70% of all questions, and we filled out the remaining 30% manually. Delve wasn’t of much use for that remaining 30%, and we didn’t get the impression that they (the Delve team) really understood the domain, so we ended up working with Claude to get the remaining part done.

The trouble starts when you look at the answers Delve’s AI provided. Based on what your Delve policies claim, the questionnaire AI answers questions stating you have an MDM, had a 200 hour pen-test performed, and do regular backup restoration simulations.
